Pet carer loses job abroad after revealing he killed cats back in Nigeria (Video)
A Nigerian man who recently posted a TikTok video discussing his job of taking care of cats for £100 (approximately N57k) per hour has been fired by his employer after they came across the video.
The man, known as @equation_mic, had previously mentioned in the video that he used to believe cats were associated with witchcraft when he was in Nigeria and had even killed many of them.
However, he expressed his delight at the fact that he now earns a significant amount of money to care for cats in the United Kingdom.
In a subsequent video, he shared the unfortunate news that his employer had seen the video on social media and made the decision to terminate his employment.
The reason given was the fear that he might potentially harm their own cat in the future. The man expressed his deep sadness and disappointment regarding the turn of events.
He said:
“In respect to this video, I made a few days ago when I said my job is to take care of cats and my money is 100 pounds per hour. Instablog posted the video and so many bloggers. Yes! it is 100 pounds, but the problem I have now is that now my boss saw the video.
“My boss just gave me a sack letter and said that I cannot work there again. I tried to let him understand that in my country, we were made to believe that a cat is a witch and that was the reason I killed so many cats in Nigerian. He said no, that he doesn’t want me to come and hurt his cat.
“Honestly, I don’t know what to do again. to get a job is very difficult, I am just confused.”
