PDP secures all 17 local governments in Enugu
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has cleared all the chairmanship position in the council election held on Saturday.
The Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) Chairman, Prof. Christian Ngwu, who announced the results, stated that the Commission conducted a commendable job in organizing a free and fair election.
Declaring the election as the fairest, Ngwu said they carefully collated and analysed the results to ensure that there were no mistakes.

As if the opposition knew that the election did not favour them, none of the opposition candidates that contested the chairmanship position came to ENSIEC where the election was declared.
Expressing joy at their victory, chairman elect for Udenu local government, Hon. Aka Eze Aka describef the process seamless and credible, adding that the election was a reminder that democracy is alive in Enugu State.
He said wouldl ensure a massive agricultural revolution across all the communities in Udenu Local Government, pledging to provide basic infrastructure such as health centres, roads, markets and improve on the education in line with Governor Peter Mbah’s agenda.
Also speaking, the chairman elect for Oji River local government, Greg. Amyaegbudike said that he would make youth empowerment his watchword.
Anyaegbudike said that he would make sure that those who are employable would be provided with jobs, and organise skills acquisition programme that would benefit all. “I’ll make sure that the youth of Oji River are gainfully employed. Those who are employable, will definitely get employed,”he said.
