Patience Ozokwor mourns Onyeka Onwenu’s passing, says she’s hurt

Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor has expressed her grief at the loss of her colleague, Onyeka Onwenu.

Reddington Hospital declared music legend Onyeka Onwenu dead after she slumped following a performance in Lagos.

Actress Patience Ozokwor during an interview with NAN, recalled their strong connection and said that Onyeka Onwenu’s passing was tragic and terrible.

She was also worried about the high death rate in the nation and questioned what the root causes might be.

Onyeka is not just a colleague but a friend. I am downcast now and hurting because of her death and for the fact that she was not sick.

“How can everyone be dying like that, what is causing so much death? Everyone is stressed up in this country,” she said.
