Patience Ozokwo emotional as she receives AMVCA Merit Award (Video)

Veteran Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwo, was overwhelmed with tears of joy as she received the prestigious Industry Merit Award at the recently concluded AMVCA ceremony.

The beloved actress, fondly known as “Mama G,” was completely taken by surprise when she was honored with the esteemed award.

In her emotional acceptance speech, Patience shared how she was convinced by fellow actor Charles Inojie to attend the event, unaware of the recognition awaiting her.

Taking to her Instagram account, Patience expressed her gratitude and promised to write a heartfelt appreciation post to everyone involved.

However, for the time being, she needed some time to recover from the shock of the award.

Earlier in the day, Patience had faced several obstacles, including a canceled flight from Benin and a delayed flight from Asaba.

Despite these challenges, she managed to make it to Lagos, thanks to the encouragement of Charles Inojie.

In her Instagram post, Patience wrote;

“A few hours ago, I was telling my daughter that I might not make it to Lagos because of the canceled flight and the delayed last flight out of Asaba. I had just attended a family wedding in the East on Friday and barely made it back to Lagos. Thanks to @charlesinojie for encouraging me to come. For now, let me rest. My speech will come later.”
