Pastor Bolaji secures release from Police custody

Pastor Bolaji Idowu, lead Pastor, Harvesters International Christian Center (HICC), has been released from Police custody.

The popular Nigerian pastor was released on Tuesday evening.

Gistreel reported that pastor Idowu was arrested by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, for alleged N1.5billion fraud.

It was however gathered that he was released from the custody of the police yesterday evening after after some forces in the Aso Rock Villa and some top pastors in the country mounted pressure on the Nigerian police.

A top Police source, who disclosed this, stated, “Pastor Bolaji was released late into the evening after big pastors and President Tinubu’s Aso Villa intervened in the matter.

“He has been asked to pay back the money traced to his account in two weeks.”
