Osimhen’s €90m release clause for January transfer revealed

Victor Osimhen reportedly has a €90 million release clause that could see him leave Napoli permanently during the January transfer window.

According to RAI Sport journalist, this clause was included in the on-loan Galatasaray star’s contract extension with Napoli, which runs until June 2027.

However, the clause is not applicable for Serie A clubs.

Osimhen, who was the top scorer in Serie A during the 2022/23 season with 76 goals in 133 games for Napoli, had drawn interest from clubs like Al-Ahli, Chelsea, and PSG over the summer.

But none of those moves materialized. He eventually joined Galatasaray on loan, where he has already made an impact by scoring two goals in a 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa.

Meanwhile, despite rumours of a potential move, Galatasaray’s vice-president, İbrahim Hatipoğlu, has downplayed the possibility of Osimhen leaving in January.
