Osimhen to arrive Super Eagles camp on Thursday for AFCON 2025 Qualifiers
Victor Osimhen is scheduled to arrive at the Super Eagles camp on Thursday, ahead of Nigeria’s crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Nigeria will play against Benin Republic and Rwanda in a bid to secure a spot in the 2025 AFCON tournament.
The 25-year-old striker is part of the 23-man squad selected for these fixtures. He accepted the invitation despite his recent saga with Napoli, and subsequent loan move to Galatasaray.
Osimhen’s arrival will be possible once he finalizes his move to the Turkish Super Lig champions side.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed that Osimhen, along with Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, will join the team at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Uyo two days before the match against Benin Republic.
Kelechi Iheanacho, who recently signed with Sevilla, is also expected to report to camp on Wednesday.
However, at present, 20 players are already in camp, preparing for the upcoming matches.
