Osimhen reluctant over Al-Ahli’s €70M bid, prefers European club with UCL football

Al-Ahli have reportedly made a €70 million offer to Napoli for Victor Osimhen, but the Nigerian striker remains hesitant.

He is said to be holding out for potential interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, or Chelsea.

According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, while Napoli may be open to considering Al-Ahli’s offer, which is significantly lower than Osimhen’s release clause, the player himself is reluctant to move to the Saudi Pro League.

His preference is to continue playing in the UEFA Champions League, making clubs like PSG and Arsenal more appealing to him.

The situation is becoming increasingly tense as the transfer window narrows, with Osimhen’s indecision affecting Napoli’s broader transfer strategy.

The Italian club is reportedly seeking a sum closer to €100 million plus bonuses for the prolific forward, but as of now, no European club has matched Al-Ahli’s bid.

Chelsea remains on the periphery of Osimhen’s options, particularly if Napoli manages to secure Romelu Lukaku in a separate deal.

However, Osimhen’s priority remains a move to a club competing at the highest level in Europe, making a switch to Stamford Bridge less likely at this stage.
