Osimhen on why he moved to Galatasaray

Victor Osimhen gets candid on why he moved to Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli after struggling to secure a permanent transfer during the summer transfer window.

It is recalled that the Nigerian striker was left out of Antonio Conte’s squad during the summer, with speculation linking him to Chelsea and Al-Ahli.

However, a transfer did not materialize before the window closed, leading Osimhen to join the Turkish club temporarily until the end of the 2024/25 season.

The Nigerian professional footballer revealed that the decision to join the Yellow and Reds was an easy one for him.

“When I heard about Galatasaray’s interest, it was an easy decision for me. I knew how big Galatasaray was, how much of a family it felt like. It has incredible fans,” Osimhen stated on the club’s official website.

The 25-year-old also revealed his compatriot, Henry Onyekuru played a key role in the transfer.
