Ordination of a man with dreadlocks as Catholic Priest sparks debate (Photos)
Photos of a young man with dreadlocks ordained as a Catholic priest has sparked off a debate bothering on whether it is right or wrong?
According to a Twitter user identified with the handle @MrObi_ who shared the photos, the ordination took place in Canada.
In some of the pictures, the recently ordained priest is seen celebrating Mass and administering Holy Communion to a recipient of the sacrament.
A Twitter user took to his page to solicit people’s opinion and this has led to an online debate with many for and others against.
He wrote, “A young man was ordained a Catholic priest with dread locks in Canada. What’s your view..?”

However, photos from the priest’s ordination ceremony has sparked debate on Twitter, as Nigerians argue on whether or not it is right for a Catholic priest to have dreadlocks.

Your comment makes it look like dreadlocks is a sin or crime. I was born with natural dreadlocks. White priests wear long hair without question. Dreadlocks are natural n cultural. This comment simply proves the effect of colonialism, nothing about us is good even out hair😔
