“She has been doing this charity for over ten years and she has been to everywhere, helping children, old people, and pregnant women,” she said.

Addressing the families affected by the tragic incident, she added, “All those who lost their children to the tragic incident, I commiserate with you. Please release my child; she’s very innocent. Help me, the government; release my daughter.”

The charges against Olori Naomi, the former queen of the Ooni of Ife, allege her involvement in a scheme leading to accelerated deaths during the event at Islamic High School, Bashorun, on December 18, 2024. Alongside other organizers, including broadcaster Oriyomi Hamzat, she faces accusations of violating Section 324 of the Criminal Code of Oyo State.

The heartfelt plea has sparked widespread reactions online, with many calling for a fair and transparent investigation into the incident. While public sympathy grows for Olori Naomi and her family, others demand accountability for the tragic loss of lives.

The case continues to garner significant attention, as legal proceedings are set to unfold.
