Olivier Giroud lose €500k worth of property following burglars attack

Former France striker Olivier Giroud’s Los Angeles home has reportedly been broken into, with burglars making away with nearly €500,000 worth of valuables.

According to TMZ Sports via L’Équipe, the incident took place on February 5, when intruders reportedly broke a window to gain access to the property while Giroud and his family were away.

Among the stolen items were valuable possessions belonging to both the 2018 World Cup winner and his wife.

Local authorities have launched an investigation, but no arrests have been made so far.

Giroud, 37, moved to Los Angeles FC last summer after a three-year spell at AC Milan.

He joined former French national team captain Hugo Lloris at the MLS club but has struggled for form, failing to score in 14 appearances.

This burglary follows a growing trend of high-profile footballers being targeted by criminals while away from home.
