His international retirement comes six years after France’s 2018 World Cup triumph.

Debuting for Les Bleus on November 11, 2011, Giroud amassed 137 caps and scored a record 57 goals, surpassing Thierry Henry’s 51-goal record.

His career highlights include winning the 2018 World Cup and the 2021 Nations League.

In his message, Giroud expressed gratitude to France coach Didier Deschamps, the team’s staff, his family, and the fans.

“This France team I served for 13 years will be forever etched in my heart. It is my greatest pride and my best memory,” he stated.
