Ogun state police reportedly arrest man for sending ‘Good morning babe’ to married woman via WhatsApp

The Ogun state police command is reported to have arrested and subsequently filed a lawsuit against one Mr Sikiru Jamiu, at the Ijebu Ode magisterial district for referring to a married woman, Opeyemi Adegbesan as ‘babe’ during a Whatsapp convo.

According to the case filed on October 20 2021, it is said that Mr Jamiu(age 38), who resides in Ijebu Ode, committed the offence at about 08:02 am on September 19 2021.

Mr Sikiru Jamiu is accused of conduct that may disrupt the peace in Mrs Opeyemi’s marriage to her husband, Akintunde Adegbesan. The accused is likely to face one-month imprisonment under the state’s criminal code.
