Brighton & Hove Albion have officially announced the appointment of Fabian Hürzeler as their new head coach.
Hürzeler, who has signed a contract until June 2027, will take charge once his work permit is finalized.
The appointment follows the recent departure of Roberto De Zerbi, who is set also set to sign a contract with Marseille.
Hurzeler’s had an impressive tenure at St Pauli, leading the side to German top-flight football, the Bundesliga.
“From the start of the process, Fabian was a standout candidate,” said Brighton’s Chairman Tony Bloom.
“His exceptional work at St Pauli and his style of play align perfectly with our vision for Brighton & Hove Albion. I’m confident our supporters will appreciate and enjoy his approach,” Bloom added.
Brighton also announced that they have completed an agreement with St Pauli and received the necessary endorsement from the Football Association.
Meanwhile, a formal introduction to the media is scheduled for Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre.
