Nwabali supports Osimhen amidst transfer controversy

Nigerian professional footballer, Stanley Nwabali expresses support for Victor Osimhen following the striker’s unsuccessful attempt to leave Serie A club Napoli.

Osimhen was eager to depart the Partenopei before the transfer window closed on Friday. However, potential moves to Saudi club Al Ahli or Premier League club Chelsea collapsed.

Now excluded from Napoli’s Serie A squad, Osimhen faces the possibility of being sidelined from club football until next year.

Nwabali took to the X platform (formerly Twitter) to offer words of encouragement to his fellow international teammate.

In his words, “All great legends and all Hall of Fame fighters have their storylines. Good, bad and worst kinds of views from people who have no idea what the real story is and what it takes. I would define a myth as a story that has survived. VO9.”
