Nurse slumps and dies on duty in Zamfara
Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura, a nurse at the Specialist Hospital in Zamfara State, is said to have slumped and died while on duty.
According to the hospital’s spokesman, Auwal Usman, who confirmed the incident, Bakura appeared very healthy when he arrived at the hospital but was subsequently declared dead after taking the blood pressure of roughly 30 patients.
Usman added that she went to the doctor with a cardiac complaint, but she passed away shortly after.
Before the doctors could perform CPR, it was already too late.
“The medical doctors tried all they could to save her life but they couldn’t as she died instantly,” he said.
Usman claims that the hospital’s administration, under the direction of Medical Director Dr. Usman Shanawa, has given the deceased’s body to the deceased person’s family members.
When reached, a relative of the deceased nurse confirmed that Asmau left her home on Wednesday morning feeling healthy and went to the hospital where she works as a nurse without any health issues.
“She was buried today by 5 pm at Malan Abdurrahaman House, Magama Area, Bungudu according to Islamic injunction,” the relative said
