A middle-aged Nigerian man causes a buzz as he is seen frying plantain with a local pressing iron amidst the rising cost of cooking gas.
In a video circulating on TikTok, a man was captured using a charcoal iron to cook his meal as gas hits N1200 per kilo in Nigeria.
In the video, he poured charcoal into the iron, placed a plate on top, and the plantain boiled from the heat generated.
While many TikTok users were astonished by the man’s unconventional method, others remarked that he still managed to achieve the desired outcome.
