Not for sale: Arsenal reject rivals bid for Eddie Nketiah
Arsenal have rejected an enquiry from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace for striker Eddie Nketiah, stating the the player is not for sale.
Crystal Palace who are seeking to reinforce their attacking options, made an initial approach for Nketiah, who has emerged as one of Arsenal’s top scorers this season with five goals in the Premier League.
However, the Gunners have turned down the bid for the 24-year-old forward.
talkSPORT reveals that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta holds Nketiah in high regard and considers him an integral part of the squad.
Despite playing second fiddle to Gabriel Jesus at times, Nketiah has been a consistent presence in Arsenal’s league matches this season.
While Nketiah has not found the net since his memorable hat-trick against Sheffield United in October, Arsenal remains committed to retaining his services, especially as they seek to strengthen their squad in the upcoming transfer window.
