Barcelona’s alleged attempt to offload forward Robert Lewandowski this summer have be tagged “nonsense” by the player’s agent, Pini Zahavi.
Speculation surrounding Lewandowski’s future at Barcelona has intensified recently.
The club officials, including coach Xavi Hernandez, are reportedly eager to part ways with the Polish striker, due to financial constraints.
Football Espana reports talks are scheduled between Barcelona and Zahavi next week, with rumours suggesting a potential summer departure for Lewandowski will be discussed.
However, Zahavi has publicly refuted these claims, labeling them as “nonsense” in a recent interview.
According to Zahavi, Lewandowski is committed to playing one more season in Catalonia, having signed a four-year contract.
Despite the significant wages Lewandowski will earn next season, estimated at €32 million, and concerns over potential poor form, Barcelona’s hopes of selling him now appear slim.
With both Lewandowski and Zahavi closing the door on a possible exit, Barcelona may face challenges in their attempts to offload the forward this summer.
