Nollywood mourn as filmmaker, Charles Granville dies

Nollywood actor, singer-songwriter, and filmmaker, Charles Granville, sadly passes away following an undisclosed illness.

A family statement reported that the ‘Tinsel‘ actor succumbed to a prolonged illness on Thursday, September 21, 2023.

The announcement, signed by a family member named Iyenemri Somiari Granville, also mentioned that details about funeral arrangements will be shared at a later time.

Sharing his obituary on Instagram, King Minjin emphasized how shocking the tragic loss of Charles Granville was.

Until his untimely demise, Granville served as the Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Arts and Entertainment.

His notable filmography included roles in ‘Last Flight To Abuja,’ ‘Impossible Relationships,’ ‘Dowry Man,’ and an upcoming movie titled ‘Locked.’
