“No pay, no work” — INEC adhoc staff protests on election day in Kano
On elections day, the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Adhoc staff in Kano state organized a protest to express their frustration over not receiving their allowances.
As patriotic Nigerians troop out in numbers to vote for their preferred presidential and national assembly candidates across the country, adhoc staff of the electoral commission in Kano have refused to work.
According to reports, INEC personnel who were protesting were situated in Dorayi, located in the Gwale LGA of Kano State. Their reason for refusing to commence the electoral process was due to their claim of not receiving payment for their upcoming services.
