“No one is paying my bride price ever, If you pay mine I pay yours” – Nigerian feminist says

A Nigerian feminist, Aderonke Rene Ahmed, who was once married, has said that no one will pay her bride price ever again.

The 36-year-old divorcee says if she decides to marry again, that she will pay the man’s bride price if he pays hers.

“No one is paying my bride price ever again, that’s if I decide to get married tbh. If you pay mine I pay yours. Simple!” she tweeted.

According to her, bride price is totally unnecessary and it should be illegal.

Her take is coming after a lady seeked advice on social media as her husband vowed to never help his in-laws after he paid N580k bride price.
