Nnamdi Kanu Will Soon Return To Nigeria – IPOB Reveals
Emma Powerful, spokesman of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), says the leader of the group, Nnamdi Kanu will return to Nigeria to mobilise support for the creation of Biafra.
It’s reported that Kanu will visit Nigeria as part of his current tour of some countries where he is preaching the group’s secessionist cause.
Kanu has been out of the country since September 2017, and his prosecution before a federal high court in Abuja for alleged treason has been on.
The IPOB leader since the group was prescribed a terrorist organisation seemed to have disappeared from the face of earth with rumours that he had been killed by the military in an attack on his home — Despite repeated claims by the military debunking such rumours.
In 2018, Kanu shockingly appeared in Jerusalem after one year but has failed to show up in court after being granted bail — A situation that made the court revoke the bail and issue a bench warrant for his arrest.
However, Powerful in his statement said, “I will not disclose it (when) now until he makes it official for us to tell people,” the IPOB spokesman disclosed over phone.
“At the appropriate time, we will communicate to you people. Government of Nigeria can do whatever they like. Biafra will come and nobody can stop Biafra.”
