Nigerian woman returns $5,700 found in workplace

A Nigerian woman, Victoria Ebiere Ogunremi, has received commendations for returning $5,700 cash she found in the toilet of her workplace in New Jersey, United States.

Victoria, who is of American descent, has earned widespread praise from her employer, colleagues, and the individual who lost the money, for her act of honesty and kindness.

Speaking of her decision to return the money, Victoria expressed immediate concern for the person who had lost the money.

“The thought of the pain or trauma it could cause inspired me. I did not hesitate to return it because of my Christian faith and beliefs. Honesty brings to peace of mind, and it is a key virtue I cherish,” she stated.

Victoria took it upon herself to find the owner of the cash before even informing her management. She later received heartfelt appreciation from both her employer and the person who lost the money.

“The management was very pleased and proud of me. The owner was incredibly grateful and showered me with praise,” she added.
