Nigerian architect recounts experience with 5 caucasian boys in London who were shocked he could read
A Nigerian architect has given an account of how he ‘dealt’ with five caucasian boys who made a somewhat ‘funny’ racist remark about him while at a bus stop in London, UK.
The Nigerian man identified as @harrydaniyan narrated that while he was at a bus stop in London, he had brought out a magazine to read when some caucasian boys remarked with surprise that he could read.
@harrydaniyan said that he had smiled benevolently at them and decided to teach them a lesson.
He answered affirmatively that he could read and went ahead to tell them that he’s also an architect with a master’s degree.
The boys were awed by this. The man then asked them what level of education each of them have had and they replied high school.
The Nigerian man then told them that what they call people with only that level of education from Nigeria, where he comes from, are ‘illiterates’.
@harrydaniyan revealed that the five boys said nothing further after that till their bus arrived.
