Nigerian actress Shola Subair, popularly known as Sholly Cutie, has come under fire online after sharing her birthday photos, with allegations emerging that she photoshopped her head into the body of an Iraqi influencer.
The Yoruba movie star’s attempt to celebrate her special day with new images quickly turned controversial when sharp-eyed social media users identified the photos as not originally hers.
The backlash intensified when it was revealed that the images appeared to belong to an Iraqi influencer.
Reports suggest that Subair edited her head onto the influencer’s body, attempting to pass the photoshopped images off as her own.
Critics have lambasted the actress for presenting a false image of herself and accused her of having low self-esteem.
In response to the severe backlash, Sholly Cutie has deleted the controversial photos from her social media accounts.
“Which Nigerian actress is this?? Photoshopped your head on another lady’s pictures and post them as yours?? People dey drink shamelessness,” the post read.
