Neymar’s camp deny Barca return rumours
Neymar Jr’s representatives have denied recent rumours linking the Brazilian star with a return to Barcelona.
This comes just a year after his high-profile move to Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League.
The 32-year-old forward joined Al-Hilal from Paris Saint-Germain in a £68 million transfer, becoming one of the league’s top signings.
Speculation had resurfaced online suggesting that Neymar was ready to end his stint in the Middle East and return to his former club, Barcelona.
However, his camp has dismissed these claims as baseless.
“The articles on Ney’s return to Barça from Al Hilal are lies and a tremendous disrespect for Al Hilal and the athlete,” stated Neymar’s representatives, according to Fabrizio Romano.
“Neymar is under contract with Al Hilal, and he’s happy in Riyadh. Soon he returns to the pitch to delight the fans.”
Neymar has faced significant challenges since joining Al-Hilal, with injuries limiting him to just five appearances.
Despite these setbacks, he remains committed to his two-year contract, reportedly worth £130 million per year.
After missing much of last season due to injury and subsequent surgery, Neymar is now stepping up his recovery and is expected to return to action soon.
