Newcastle to pose as tough test for Man United in EFL Round 4 clash tonight
Newcastle United and Manchester United are set to clash in EFL Cup 4 four match today, Wednesday, at St James’ Park.
Both teams have managed to show their mettle in the competition so far, especially United, given their recent underwhelming form.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United have had a successful run across all competitions this season.
The Magpies knocked off treble winners Manchester City 1-0 in the previous round that held on September 26, and are keen to eliminate the second Manchester club in the highly anticipated encounter tonight.
Manchester United, on the other hand, have had a solid campaign in the EFL Cup, than they have had in other competitions.
Having won the league cup last season, they have made significant progress this season, coming off Crystal Palace test with a 3-0 defeat in September.
Although, they suffered the consequences days later from Palace in the Premier League, with Palace taking all three points in a 1-0 encounter.
As for the favourites in today’s match, many will bet their last cash on Newcastle, given their current form.
However, Manchester United must not be written off, following their natural claim, as well as their fine run so far in the competition, not neglecting a home advantage.
The match kicks off at 9:15 PM local time.
