Newcastle place £150m price tag on Alexander Isak amid Arsenal interest

Newcastle United have reportedly set a Premier League record valuation of £150 million for their star striker Alexander Isak.

This follows growing interest from rivals Arsenal and other European heavyweights.

According to The Telegraph, the Magpies are confident of retaining the Swedish forward, with no intention to sell.

The club previously used a similar strategy to fend off Chelsea, who were exploring a move for the in-form striker.

Isak has been in exceptional form, netting 32 Premier League goals since the beginning of the 2023-24 season.

Arsenal, in particular, are seen as frontrunners for his signature as they search for a prolific goalscorer to complement their attack led by injury-prone Gabriel Jesus.

Other elite clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Liverpool, are also monitoring the situation, especially with speculation surrounding Mohamed Salah’s future at Anfield.

With Isak’s current contract running until 2028, Newcastle are under no pressure to sell.

However, they may need to offer an improved deal to secure his long-term future, with contract extension talks expected to resume soon.
