A dramatic scene was recorded at a handover ceremony in Kano state today, May 29, as the new Governor of the North-West state, Abba Kabir Yusuf refused to sit on a seat used by his predecessor, Abdullahi Ganduje.
While being led into the venue of the handover ceremony, a security operative pushed forward a seat reserved for the Governors of Kano state.
Abba Yusuf however rejected the seat which was used by his predecessor, Ganduje, and instead opted for another at the venue.
At the handover ceremony held today, the new Governor of Kano state vowed to probe the N241 billion inherited from the administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. He also criticized his predecessor for “departing from established democratic” practice by jetting out of the state and not personally handing over the state government to him.
