NECO releases 2024 result, majority secure five credits
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the results for the June/July 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination.
The announcement was made by Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, the NECO Registrar, during a press briefing held at the NECO headquarters in Minna.
A total of 1,376,423 candidates participated in this year’s examination, with 706,950 males and 669,473 females among them.
In a significant highlight, the results reveal that 60.55% of the candidates secured at least five credits, including core subjects such as English Language and Mathematics.
Professor Wushishi expressed satisfaction with the overall performance, emphasizing NECO’s commitment to upholding examination standards and ensuring fair assessment for all candidates.
The release of the results marks a crucial milestone for students across the country as they prepare for their next steps in education and career planning.
2024 NECO Result Breakdown
- The number of candidates that sat for the exam is 1,367,736, comprising 702,112 males and 665,624 females.
- The number of candidates with five credits and above, including English and Mathematics, is 828,284, representing 60.55%.
- The number of candidates with five credits and above, irrespective of English and Mathematics, is 1,147,597, representing 83.90%.
