Nations League: Jamal Musiala steals show as Germany thump Hungary 5-0
Jamal Musiala delivered a masterclass performance as Germany cruised to a dominant 5-0 win over Hungary in their UEFA Nations League opener.
The Bayern Munich star was involved in four of the five goals, marking a perfect start for Julian Nagelsmann’s side in the post-Euro 2024 era.
Niclas Füllkrug opened the scoring in the 27th minute, finishing off a clever assist from Musiala.
Germany’s fluid attack continued into the second half, with Musiala doubling the lead in the 58th minute after a quick counter.
Florian Wirtz then added the third with a clinical strike, set up by Musiala.
While Hungary struggled to contain the hosts, substitute Aleksandar Pavlović made it 4-0 after another Musiala contribution.
Kai Havertz completed the rout with a penalty in the 81st minute.
