Napoli make verbal offer to Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku

Napoli have made a verbal offer to Chelsea for the transfer of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, according to reports.

Sky Sport Italia claims the proposed deal is worth €25 million plus an additional €5 million in potential add-ons.

Napoli’s directors are awaiting a response from the London club in the coming hours, as they are keen to finalize the deal as soon as possible.

This offer comes amidst interest from other clubs, with Aston Villa reportedly willing to match Lukaku’s €43 million release clause.

However, Lukaku has expressed a preference for reuniting with former manager Antonio Conte at Napoli, should the move materialize.

Napoli make the verbal offer, despite being unable to sell their star forward Victor Osimhen, who is valued for €130 million.

Despite Osimhen expressing his desire to leave, no club has yet met his release clause.
