Naomi Silekunola: Adeniyi Johnson begs authorities for leniency
Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson has called on authorities to show leniency in the case involving Naomi Silekunola, the former wife of the Ooni of Ife.
Recall Naomi had organized an event during which a stampede tragically claimed the lives of over 30 children. Following the incident, the police detained the former queen and several others.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Adeniyi expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and offered prayers for Naomi, acknowledging her good intentions and charitable nature.
He praised the people of Ondo State for their generosity, noting that Naomi’s actions reflected the compassionate values of her community.
The actor further urged authorities to approach the situation with leniency, emphasizing the devastating nature of the tragedy and the goodwill behind the event.
He wrote, “First and foremost, condolences to the family of lost ones; no family deserves this kind of pain at this time or any other. I pray the good lord gives you the fortitude to bear the loss and comfort the family!! Amen
