“My very warm friendship” – Charly boy recalls time with late singer Sound Sultan

Nigerian Singer, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa professionally known as Charly boy has recall his time with one of his very good friends, late singer, Sound Sultan.

Taking to his Instagram page, he describe Sound Sultan as a very warm friend and their friendship was one of a kind. 

Charly Boy wrote:

“I remember my very warm friendship with one of the greats, Sound Sultan. RIP.”

A comment read, “RIP Mr Sound Sultan, really love 💖 you that year, when i and Captain ADEBAYO DOSUNMU came to your house, continue to rest in Peace brother. May God Almighty keep your children and wife safe.”

Recall that after a valiant fight, Sound Sultan lost his life to angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma, a rare type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a family of similar lymphatic system-associated diseases. At the time, he was 44 years old.

Nigerians were shocked to learn of his death at the moment, and on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at the Marlboro Muslim cemetery in New Jersey, he was buried in accordance with an Islamic commandment.
