Mother seeks justice over bullied son’s death, calls out Veritas University
A grieving mother calls out Veritas University in Abuja for trying to cover up her son’s cause of death after reportedly losing his life to bullying.
A social media user identified as @omolomo_o took to the X platform on behalf of the mourning mother and her late son, Joshua Daniel who passed on about a month ago on the school premises.
In a post, the user alleged that the student was stabbed multiple times contrary to reports passed to the parents by the University.
Calling for justice, the mother in a chat accused the school of trying to sweep the issue under the carpet without investigation.
“It’s one month today my son violently lost his life in Veritas university, Bwari. The Nigerian police are yet to release any update on the matter even with my repeated calls to CP. Benneth Igwe. My son’s violent departure from this world will not be swept under the carpet,” the mother stated.
The X user on the other hand captioned the chat screenshot;
“Hello everyone; especially @Princemoye1 and @PoliceNG.
The picture below is the picture of a boy named Joshua Eju-Ojo a student of Veritas University in Abuja, he was reported to die while playing basketball.
When he got to the hospital, the doctor and results found out that he was bullied because during autopsy they found multiple stab wounds on his body meanwhile his body was found indoor in a gym but the university
@VeritasUniAbuja
lied to the family and went on to threaten the hospital not to say he was bullied
The school keeps giving the parents different story.
@Princemoye1 the school have told the parents nobody will listen to them and nothing will happen, will you allow this happen ??
@PoliceNG @PoliceNG_CRU please we want justice for Joshua 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽.
Why are they trying to silence the hospital and the parents with power and influence???
@Princemoye1 please look into it 🙏🏽🙏🏽.”
