Mother of Late Nigerian President Yar’adua Has Passed Away

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Hajiya Dada Aisha, the mother of late Nigerian President Umaru Musa Yaradua. She was a respected figure in Nigerian society and played a pivotal role in shaping her son’s political career.

She is the only woman in Nigeria to have given birth to a President, Umaru Musa Yar’adua, a former Vice President, Shehu Musa Yar’adua, a Minister, and a Governor.

According to family sources, she died in Katsina on Monday, 2nd September, 2024, at about 7pm.

Funeral prayer will be conducted at the Yar’adua’s family house, Yar’adua area of Katsina metropolis by 1:30pm on Tuesday.

She was survived by children and grandchildren, among whom is the current Senator representing Katsina Central senatorial District, Abdulazeez Musa Yar’adua. Our thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones during this difficult time as they mourn the loss of a beloved matriarch.
