Mohbad Early Life

Mohbad was born into the Oladimeji family in the middle of the 1990s. He was born in Ketu, Lagos State, on June 8th, 1996.

A few days later, his parents performed a naming ceremony to celebrate his birth, during which they gave him the name Ilerioluwa Oladimeji.

He was nurtured by middle-class parents who instilled strong moral values in him. He was born and raised in Lagos, where he spent his formative years.

Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, a 27-year-old rapper, singer, and songwriter from Lagos, Nigeria, has taken over Instagram using the stage names MohBad and “Imole.”

In 2022, The Mohbad published his debut album, “Imole,” which was a huge commercial success. The album, which included popular songs like “See My Benz,” “Kimi,” and “Ronaldo,” helped him establish himself as a leading figure in the field.

Controversy

A friend of the late Mohbad and fellow singer Chude Jideonwo, Bella Shmurda revealed that Mohbad attempted suicide during his agony but was stopped by friends in a conversation with Chude Jideonwo, a well-known media figure.

“There was a time when Mohbad and I were living in an apartment, and Mohbad was like he wanted to jump from the upstairs because of problems he was having with his record label,” he remembered.

Mohbad was restrained by the window. He was on the edge of jumping when his fiancée entered the room and saw Mohbad sitting by the window.

NDLEA Arrest

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested Mohbad, Zinoleesky, and four other people in February 2022 for having illegal narcotics such as MDMA and cannabis in their Lekki, Lagos, home.

NDLEA agents are shown rushing into the musicians’ home in Lagos State’s Lekki area early Thursday morning in various viral videos posted on social media.

According to witnesses, the officials abused the Marlian singers during their detention and conducted it without a search order. Officials from the NDLEA were seen forcing the musicians into waiting trucks, hitting them with clubs and firing into the air.

NDLEA confirmed the raid, saying that “our men raided an area in Idado estate where Naira Marley’s boys stay.” Significant amounts of marijuana and cocaine were discovered in their flat and automobile, he told TheCable Lifestyle. The NDLEA later released Mohbad, Zinoleesky, and three other people.

Mohbad Exit from Naira Marley

According to Newsone, late Mohbad’s management confirmed his departure from the record company on Tuesday, October 25. His legal team said in a statement that Mohbad’s resignation was due to continuing attacks directed by Naira Marley, as well as unpaid royalties since 2019.

The “KPK” singer’s exit comes just a few weeks after he took to Twitter on October 5 to show photographs of damaged bodies and claim that the Marlian crew attacked him when he sought to change managers.

“World, pls help me oo I’m dying inside,” he said, adding, “just because I want to change my manager, who is their brother, see what they did to me at Marlian House.”

In addition to stating that he was at the hospital for a chest X-ray and CT Scan as a result of the assault, he stated, “I’m not high oo cos that is what dey always say just to die down everything.”

Naira Marley was allegedly present during the assault and did nothing to stop it, according to Mohbad.

The singer further claimed that the Marlian Music record label has been delaying paying him his advances and royalties from intellectual property that has been commercialized since 2019.

“You have failed to make any advances since 2019 as mutually agreed by both parties, in violation of the terms of the agreement between our customer and yourself;

The statement stated, “You have also failed to pay all royalties due our client from all of his intellectual property works that have been monetized, released, and used by you from 2019 to date.”

Personal Life

Mohbad, a rapper, was currently single after ending a committed relationship months prior.

However, he was open to beginning a new relationship if the right person presented themselves.

Mohbad has been victimized by Nigerian police enforcement.

He was arrested and held thereafter NDLEA agents investigated his apartment. He was hauled into arrest together with Zinoleesky, another member of his label.

Their label’s CEO, Naira Marley, intervened to secure the duo’s release.
