Mikel Arteta calls on rival managers to join fight against VAR controversies

Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta is urging his fellow Premier League managers to unite against the controversial decisions made by VAR.

He made the call following his heated reaction to a controversial VAR decision during Arsenal’s recent 1-0 loss to Newcastle.

Despite facing criticism for his emotional response, Arteta has decided to stand firm in his ongoing dispute with the Premier League referees over what he perceives as “embarrassing” VAR calls.

He believes it’s essential for managers to raise their voices and work collectively to improve the situation.

Arteta said, “If you have a problem and you put it in your drawer, the problem is still there and at some point it’s going to stink.

“So we have to talk loudly to improve things, and that’s what we are trying to do.”

The Arsenal manager is convinced that other managers share his concerns when their teams are affected by contentious decisions.
