Mercy Johnson faces backlash over campaign for APC Edo State gubernatorial election
Actress, Mercy Johnson has faced heavy backlash following her campaign for Senator Monday Okpebholo ahead of the Edo State gubernatorial election.
The actress whose husband is a politician in Edo State, was seen at a political rally ground in Ward 6 Irruekpen, Esan West LGA, campaigning for Senator Okpebholo, an APC Governorship candidate for Edo State.
In the viral video, Mercy Johnson encouraged women to talk to their husbands and children about voting for the candidate.

This have sparked outrage from netizens as they label her as heartless for her comment considering the hardship in the country.
