Medical doctor recounts how God used him to save life of a gunshot victim
A medical doctor has taken to his social media page to narrate about his charitable acts towards a gunshot wound patient.
According to the man, the victim had been a lady who refused an attempt to be rapppeedd. The culprits stole her phones and other valuables from her bag and left her to die after they had shot her in the stomach.
On bringing the lady to the hospital, doctors were reluctant to address the case as they didn’t want trouble to go through a police case since the lady had been shot.
The charitable doctor had stood in for her and ensure that the surgery was performed – which turned out to be a success.
According to the charitable man, some days afterwards she had an infection which needed strong antibiotics. Since the lady couldn’t afford it and had no one to call, he bought her the antibiotics.
He further stated that after the whole treatment, he settled her medical bills and the lady in question had no idea he did all this from. He stated that she knew help had come but not who it came from.
An excerpt from his post read:
“Couple of weeks ago, a young girl was shot on the stomach for refusing to be r*ped, her bag containing her phone and other valuables was stolen and she was left to die.
Some people brought her to the hospital and because they don’t have energy for Police case, also left her
The hospital did the first thing by stabilising her, but then she needed to be operated on.
Since nobody was there to give consent, I stood in for her. She was operated on and the surgery was successful.
Some days after the surgery, sepsis kicked, she needed Strong antibiotics.
Since she can’t contact her people, having lost her phone and not knowing any phone number offheart, I decided to go buy her the antibiotics (imipenem).
Fast forward to when she was better and ready to be discharged. Nobody came to pay her bills
And the hospital can’t let her go.
They called me again… apparently, the doctors and nurses already nicknamed her “Chuks Patient”
Oh well, she’s on her way back to Imo State today, hale and hearty, all bills paid and she doesn’t even know who made that possible. “
