Mbappé tagged ‘suspect’ in Swedish rape investigation

Kylian Mbappé’s legal team now believes the Real Madrid and France forward is a suspect in a Swedish rape investigation.

According to RMC Sport, the alleged incident occurred in a Stockholm hotel on October 10th, while Mbappé was on a short holiday.

On the night in question, the 25-year-old was said to have dined at a restaurant before visiting a nightclub.

While Swedish prosecutors confirmed an investigation is ongoing, Mbappé was not initially named.

However, a report by Swedish outlet Expressen, implicated the French international, sparking widespread media attention.

Mbappé’s lawyer, Canu Bernard, has since defended him on French television, insisting that “he’s done nothing wrong.”

Despite remaining calm about the situation, Mbappé’s entourage is aware that the investigation could be lengthy and damaging to his image.
