Manchester United eye former Arsenal prodigy Chido Obi-Martin
Manchester United are in talks to sign 16-year-old former Arsenal striker Chido Obi-Martin, GistReel understands.
Obi-Martin, who recently parted ways with Arsenal after his schoolboy contract expired, turned down a scholarship offer from the Gunners.
The Denmark-born forward visited Manchester United’s Carrington training complex earlier this week, indicating serious interest from the Red Devils.
However, United face competition from other clubs keen on acquiring the promising striker as well.
Obi-Martin made headlines last November by scoring 10 goals in a stunning 14-3 victory for Arsenal’s under-16s against Liverpool.
His impressive performance during the game is said to have caught the eye of several scouts.
Although he has represented both England and Denmark at the youth level, Obi-Martin can only sign a professional contract once he turns 17.
