Man who just secured visa passes away after father takes him to native doctor for fortification ritual
A Nigerian man, Chikwado Eze, has tragically passed away after being reportedly buried alive for 1 hour and 30 minutes during a fortification ritual arranged by his father and a native doctor.
The incident, which has sparked widespread reaction, was revealed in a post on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
According to the post, Eze, whose visa had just been approved, returned to his village to share the news with his father before traveling abroad.
His father suggested undergoing a fortification ritual to ensure his success overseas and took him to a native doctor.
The native doctor advised that Eze be buried alive for an hour and a half as part of the ritual, after which he would be exhumed.
However, when the time elapsed and he was dug up, it was discovered that Eze had died.
The incident was reported to the police, who have since taken both the father and the native doctor into custody.
