Man urges UNIZIK to expel female student for confronting lecturer

A Nigerian man has called on Nnamdi Azikiwe University, UNIZIK to expel a female student who confronted and allegedly tore a lecturer‘s clothes.

He shared his opinion via a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

The incident has sparked widespread controversy. In a recently circulated video, the student reportedly insulted the lecturer after he lightly tapped her to make way for himself along a walkway.

The lecturer allegedly returned to inquire if she was one of his students and requested that she delete the video she had taken, which featured him.

Tensions escalated when the lecturer reportedly tried to seize her phone, leading to a struggle during which the student allegedly tore his clothes and bit him.

Both parties have since shared their sides of the story.

Amid the ongoing debate, the man urged the university to take disciplinary action, asserting that the institution would lose credibility if it failed to expel the student.

“If UNIZIK fails to expel that lady who slapped and tore a lecturer’s clothes, just know the school is useless,” he stated.
