A 43-year-old man Paul Laskey, has disclosed how he used a woman’s placenta to recover his lost sight after suffering an acid attack.
According to the young man, a group of armed men splashed battery acid on his face when they were attacking his 16-year-old son.
He disclosed it the attack melted his left eye which caused the damage of his vision. He however added that the medical procedure with a woman’s placenta saved his sight.
‘I couldn’t see and couldn’t breathe. It took my breathe away with how strong it was. I felt burning on my face.” he told Metro UK.
‘I wasn’t in a lot of pain because it had burnt through all the nerves.’
Paul added: ‘It was horrendous. I was off work for the first six months. It was all that was on my mind. It was just awful.
‘I immediately worried that I would lose it completely, which would have upended my life.
‘I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to work, drive, play football with or go to the cinema with my kids, like I love to do.’
