Man shares encounter with deceased makeup artist, leaks their last chat
Man shares the heartbreaking encounter he had with the deceased makeup artist, Abigail Frederick who passed away alongside Junior Pope, as he leaks their last chat.
The man @ChukwuderaEdozi took to his X page to give an account of his friendship with the late Abigail.
He revealed that he and Abigail usually rendezvoused in Asaba after they met some time ago.
From his account, he noted that the late makeup artist always had a pessimistic view on life; was always working but yet always broke; always sad about something, but yet refusing to open up about it.
He noted that she had always been the sort that was industrious and loved her family very deeply, with a more passionate struggle to improve their home.

“The makeup artist who died in the film crew that had Junior Pope in it, is Abigail Fredrick, my friend who I chatted with not long ago, one of the persons I hang out with regularly when I’m in Asaba.
I met her when she just rounded her service and came to town.
We have hung out and gone to Karaoke.
@DrJohnAfam
was there that day, I’ve dropped her off at her house behind NTA at midnight, and I’ve taken her to my mothers shop even. We were that close. There was always this hideous sadness about her, even though she hardly opened up fully.
On her WhatsApp status she would often post things like “All these struggle for a life that can be taken from us just like that?” And her last messages on many days was “Goodnight brave ones.”
She studied Theatre in the University and was very knowledgeable in literature and would often try to show me how intelligent she was, and even offer to help me with my work. We stopped chatting very often when I moved to Enugu, but we stayed in touch. She was one determined girl, from a humble background trying to make something reasonable off her life.
She had deep and immense love for her family, and would always talk about how she was struggling to see that things improved for them. But there was always this darkness tinged in her otherwise good aura. I always felt the sadness and I couldn’t make her talk to me…
Now I realize that it was because she had been working in an industry that subjected her to this kind of condition, I’m dumbfounded. I never knew Nollywood was this dark.
These were a few things that I’ve taken my time to remember about Abigail, which might help in investigating those who she worked for because I believe her death might have some hand in it:
1.She was always working, yet always broke. Most times when we hung out, I sent her transport and she would always tell me she hadn’t been paid. I often did not know whether she way lying or not, because she worked with notable celebrities in Nollywood.
2.Every time I asked her how is work, she always gave me a weird one word answer as if she’d rather talk about something else.
3.On many nights before she slept, she posted “Goodnight brave ones.” And now this is very weird when I remember it.
4.She was always depressed. Always had this sad and dark mood about her. It was obvious she was fighting it, but almost never getting anywhere with it.
I think the people Abigail worked for in that industry should be investigated.
I think the people she worked for exploited her hardship and took advantage of her. I always asked this girl in person, nagged her to open up to me if there was any problem and she never spoke. I suspect she might have been made to take an oath.
I hear she’s been buried by the river because Nollywood is unable to raise ₦300,000 for the local ritual that would have permitted them to take her body home to Akwa Ibom. I honestly think there more to this. 💔💔💔
