Man obtains Canadian passport two years after vowing to secure dual citizenship for his kids
A Nigerian man has had his dream of becoming a citizen of another country actualized as he obtains Canadian citizenship, two years after vowing to ensure that his kids would have dual citizenship.
In March 2021, the man, known as @_ThatCJ, took to social media to declare that he would ensure that his unborn kids have citizenship in another country other than his country of birth.
In his desperation at the time, he had said that he didn’t mind the second country being Madagascar, so long as his kids have dual citizenship.
He had written …
“For what it’s worth i must give my children dual citizenship. Even if it’s Madagascar I can afford, they’re better off as penguins!”
Two years later, the man achieved his dream and returned to Twitter to give an update after securing Canadian citizenship.
He simply wrote quoted the old tweet with the passport of his new country.
