Man launches search for 20 students with A1s in WAEC to sponsor for scholarships abroad
A Nigerian man has taken to social media to announce his search for 20 students from the 2024 West African Examinations Council (WAEC) who achieved straight A1s in their exams.
The man identified as Alex Onyia revealed that he is seeking these top performers to offer them scholarships for a prestigious two-year program at United World Colleges (UWC).
To qualify, students must have achieved A1 grades in all nine subjects they undertook in the WAEC exams.
Alex Onyia emphasized that the program is highly competitive and only available to students who demonstrate exceptional academic abilities.
Upon successful completion of the program, students will have the opportunity to secure full scholarships to renowned Ivy League institutions such as Harvard, MIT, and Stanford.
Alex warned that candidates who took their WAEC exams at miracle centers should not contact him.
He wrote:
“An organisation reached-out to me today and is interested in sponsoring the students application to United World Colleges. It’s an intensive 2 year program only available for exceptionally smart students. It’s a rigorous program.
“Once they successfully go through the program, they can gain full scholarships to Ivy League schools like Harvard, MIT, Stanford etc. The program is done in 18 different countries ranging from US, Canada, Singapore etc. So the successful students will move to any of these countries for the 2 year program.”
